Dear all,

We have visited “Forum for Street children” on this Sunday evening (16.11.2008). As usual we have distributed Sweets. We also distributed Question banks, Guides, Physics Records, Graph books etc to them. We have identified around 7 students of 7th, 8th and 9th class. They are average in their studies and some of them are even failed in the Quarterly exams.

They are studying in the Govt. school so their standards are some how low and that too their parents are not here (most of them are Orphans and semi orphans) to take care of all these. We can tune their future and fortune by injecting some good education by conducting weekly study hours and clarifying their doubts.

So we decided to conduct weekly classes in “Forum for street children” on every Saturday at 5.00 P.M. If this is not convenient to you people then we will adjust the timings accordingly. For this I need your timely support. I need some volunteers to visit this regularly. It may not possible to one person to regularly visit and conduct the classes. If we have volunteers in numbers then we will adjust as per volunteers convenient and visit the same on rotation basis. I hope you may respond to this mail.

Only 2 hour’s of our time wasted by doing nothing will be definitely helpful to these students to shape their future.

The only 3 visited

We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty. - Mother Teresa

Visit Report of "Forum for Street Children"

As a part of our weekly visit we have visited "Forum for Street Children" on 05.10.2008 at 4.30 P.M. We expected the total strength i.e.35 children, in which some of them are inspired by our last meet. Unfortunately, due to "Dasara" holidays, there were only 11 children. As they are very little kids aged between 2-8 years, we have no words to encourage them in our meet. So we decided to distribute the sweets and have some fun with these kinds as usual. After completing the entertainment session we distributed some good quotes in Telugu. We explained the same and advised them to follow.

Fortunately we got a 10th Class student in those and we slowly tried to inject some of good thoughts into his mind regarding self confidence, human values and morals and the need for good/quality education. And need of being far away from bad habits. Some how he inspired by our words and we observed few drops from his eyes, he promised us to continue his studies properly. We told him that we will provide any type of support to his education if he got good score in 10th class.

We have successfully inspired 2 guys in this home. What we have to do is to continuously monitor these guys and inject the same regularly.

If possible, please try to spare 2 hours in your busy life (at lease once in a month) for these types of activities, which will give you more satisfaction and also release your stress.

Due to GVD program in our office I am not able to conduct our weekly visits this month. If anybody is interested to spare your time then I will arrange some of our group members to accompany you in this regard.

Always at your service

Hi all,

As per the schedule we have visited "Sri Sivananda Rehabilitation centre", KPHB on Sunday Evening 3.30 P.M. We spent more than 2 hours there and have lot fun with those innocent children who are suffering with some incurable disease. We have reached Sivananda at 3.45 and returned at 6.30 P.M, with hearts filled with lots of memories, happiness and satisfaction, which we never get elsewhere in the world. This is the power of a pure love and smile of a child.

One of our members (C.Sirisha, Sandvick) came with Drawings which is distributed to all the children's and they colored those in an unbelievable manner. These pictures look amazing after colored by these children's.

Hi all,

We have visited "Forum for Street Children" on Monday evening around 4.30 P.M. We stayed there up to 6.30 P.M. This is a home for Children who are on roads. But here most of them are Semi Orphanage. Very few are from streets. Totally there are 35 children's ranging from 1st class to Intermediate. We have distributed sweets to the children's.

Mr. Prathap Singh, IPS is the founder of this home. He is residing in Mumbai, so Mrs.Viqar Ewari, Member of Red cross, is managing this. It is a registered one. So there is no need of funds. All are fine except three, Cleanliness, Proper maintenance and care.

They are just like the children's who are in slum areas, with out proper awareness and care. They all are studying in Govt. Schools. So we just want to educate and guide then in their education. As part of this we told them that we will give gifts in our next visit, to those who are good in their studies, clean and good looking. Finally we decided to visit this home at least once in a month and guide them for their perfection in all areas.

We can admit any Street children's here.
